Assistant to the Township Manager
Hellam Township is currently seeking to fill the Assistant to the Township Manager position. Under the supervision of the Township Manager, this position is responsible for many office duties set forth pursuant to the Second Class Township Code: Article VIII; Section 802. This is a part-time position to start, with the possibility for it to become a full-time position in the future.
Qualified Candidates must have the ability to organize work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines with minimal direction. Candidates should possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, as well as comprehension. Candidates should be able to multitask under time and resource pressure, as well as maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive records and proceedings within the Township Office. Candidates should have a working knowledge of office equipment, be proficient in typing, using personal computers in a Windows operating system environment, and have extensive knowledge/skills using Microsoft Office Suite programs, virtual meeting platforms, social media applications and other web-based communication tools. Knowledge and experience with municipal government policies/procedures and QuickBooks is preferred. A valid PA driver’s license is required. E.O.E.
